I have been fortunate I imagine as I have traveled the world extensively over the years. Ironically I have not been to Scotland. In many ways Bagpipes and Haggis escaped me but after reading this comprehensive guide to Scottish Castles it seems I better start searching flights. Planning to carry this little gem with me and look to better understand Scotland, in particular, it's historical presence. So little time. So many castles. If you want to taste Scotland then this book will give you a pleasant introduction to the country. We all love castles. Probably we have seen a few in our lives but Scotland looks like it will keep you busy for an extended stay. Well done guide. Totally recommend.Product details

Excellent resource. We just got back from Scotland. I wish I'd had this guidebook!
because this is not available in a hard or soft copy but only on kindle it makes it difficult to look at and to share.

I second Elizabeth's review in that I have been most fortunate to travel to many places all over the world, and I'm afraid that I have overlooked Scotland. Well, thanks to Gary's lovely book, Scotland is now at the top of my travel list.
I had no clue that there were so many accessible and historical castles in Scotland, and that castle has its own unique characteristics. I look forward to using this book to make my travel plans, and to use it as a guide when I visit Scotland. Thanks to Gary for his great work.
